max payne
 

i have max payne cheats i try 2 put them in but 1st i have 2 access the game console and add -developer on the end in the properties menu which i did but if i select ok or apply it comes up with this message
"'c:\programfiles\maxpayne\maxpayne.exe"-developer'
specified in the target box is not valid.make sure the path and filename are correct.
and i cant put the cheats in does any1 know wat the problem is and how 2 solve it thanx

create a batch file:

------ START -----------
maxpayne -developer
cls
------ END -------------

copy these 2 lines, paste them into Notepad and save the text as maxpaynedeveloper.bat (or whatever u like) in the directory where max payne is installed.
run that file to run max payne in developer mode :)

that's the easiest solution to me, at least easier than messing with those .lnk files...

thanx 4 the reply u probably think im thick but i tried wat u said and i couldnt do it so could u please explain 1 step at a time wat folder i have 2 open wat i have 2 paste etc everything sorry 4 the trouble but im new 2 all this and a bit thick thanx if u can do this 4 me if not thanx 4 trying

it is a backup copy tho
anyway wat do i do when i download it

i did wat u said but all i get now is error messages during the game that will not go away i pasted your download in target under properties

You did the correct thing when you typed the additional "code" into the Poperties of the MAX PAYNE short cut, apart from like someone prior to me has said you included ' for no apparent reason:

"'c:\programfiles\maxpayne\maxpayne.exe"-developer'
Rather Than:
"c:\programfiles\maxpayne\maxpayne.exe" -developer

all you need to do is put that line into your shortcut's properties target frame... if this is in there you do not require that txt document file that you can download.

thanx 4 the reply mateyn i did wat u said but i get an error message when i select apply or ok which is wat the problem was 2 start with i have tried it both ways but still cant do it any ideas any1
