DVD mode is the only CD mode
 

I have a friend that has a messed up PS2, it was a launch system, SCPH30001. Anyway, the problem is, now it will ONLY read DVD cds. It won't read ANY other type of cd, music cd, psx cd, even ps2 cds that arent dvds (like Bloody Roar 3 for example). Also when they DO put a ps2 dvd in, it takes almost a minute before it recognizes the disk. Ideas? Suggestions? Cures? Help? Anyone?
