Problems with Clone CD. Help

I have a RICOH burner -can't remember the model now, but it's supported by Clone CD.

When I try to duplicate a CD, even one without protections, I have the following problems:

-After having read the image, the program kind of 'hangs', not allowing me to begin burning.

-If, then, I try to close Clone CD, it won't close, and often tells me the image is not ready, although the file is finished (I have waited more than 15 minutes, no changes). I must close it with CTRL-ALT-Del.

-Also, when trying to read a protected CD -last night with Icewind Dale- the reading process hangs at the beginning, but not always at the same point. Sometimes it reads a few errors, others none, but never passes the 0% stage. The light in the writer goes off-I mean, it doesn't hang reading. Again, I can't shut down Clone CD

-Last, when I try to burn, sometimes it hangs before starting the process, as if waiting for a blank CD. If the burning begins, though, it ends right.

So, what's happening?

Thx :-)

Have you shut down all background running applications (ie. all the small icons in your system tray with your clock) 8-)

It sounds like your puter is locking you out...have ricoh myself and came up against the same problem.....does your puter hang or do you have to exit the same way with any other prog use??...if so it could be that you need to delete your temp internet files in windows (ie cookie files)..could be that your memory is nearly full...then try a scan #### and a defrag and see how you go....if no joy then have someone look into your hard drive in could be on it's way....as was mine.....best of luck
