does sbox chip damage laser
 

Does the external usb sbox mod chip damage your lazer. If so does it take a long time to do any real damage.? Should any precautionary methods be taken?

No the USB mod does not damage your laser. PS2 lasers die on their own. Sony has always had a problem with that. The usual standered for Sony PS2 lasers is 2 years with or without a modchip installed (makes no difference).
