replacement ps2 laser
 

im not sure which mod chip i have because i didnt fit it but i use dvd regeion x to boot cdr's. i bought my first dvd-r backup game and bought a action replay 2 v2.2 and couldn't make it boot using any of the boot methods i found. neways, my PS2 has now stopped booting dvds and dvd games! :( When i insert the disk it doesnt sound to be doing much, it clicks every so often. My ps2 still runs cdr-s and cd games.

Do i need to buy a new ps2 laser, if so, can you buy them for any cheaper than £45?

a guy told me that it will be the circuit bourd that has broken and it would cost me £95 to replace! i dont know if he was trying to rip me off or not though :S someone please help me! i just want to play MGS2 again... :(
