NeverWinter LAN & Internet (NO CDKEY VERIFY)

This is the page where I've uploaded the files to make NWN
run on MultiPlayer without verifing CDkeys with master servers.
Nor the server and the client will verify CDKEYs with masterserver,
but be AWARE, with this method you won't be able to BAN ppl
using the BAN CD feature (that is IMHO useless anyway).

NeverWinter Client/Server crack (NOCD-NOKEY) v1.21

P.S.: can this one be added to GCW site?

i tried joining an internet game, but it said my cd key was unauthorized.

am i doing something wrong?

thanks

this is not for playing on original serv

YOU CAN'T PLAY WITH THIS ON ORIGINAL SERVERS
unless you have a REAL CD-KEY of the game you bought.

with this you can play multiplayer on PRIVATE (and maybe public if someone uses this for public servers).
If you are using a cd-key/warezCD not allowed I would suggest you to buy the original game because the developers of the game deserve it, and the price isn't that high for 3 CD (at least in EU 50 €).

If you anyway have the original CD/CD-Key use REAL KEY to play on both public and private, I repeat it once more THIS ONE is only good when you have, say, 2 brothers that want to play with you but you don't want to pay again to buy 2 copies of the game....BUT THIS IS ILLEGAL ANYWAY (and maybe not tollerated in this forum)!

You sure this works blaze?

I tried this yesterday and again today. I want to play a game on my LAN I have two computers but still it says it cant run as its the same cd key is being used. Am I doing soemthign wrong? I Will have to go and watch my guppies for a while now to ease the tension.:p

I found an easier workaround that doesn't require modifying the .exe's. Check out my response in this thread:

and this works for internet ? sure?

crakhead 01-08-2002 21:46

Yes. Just use direct connect and enter the server IP address and port. Remember, the server itself will try to check your cd key as well when you connect to it. If the host file on that machine hasn't been modified to prevent contacting nwmaster.bioware.com then it will reject you.

thx!

Can't get either to work...

Ok, I have two computers on LAN.
box1 is 192.168.0.2,
box2 is 192.168.0.3.
Both talk to each other and Internet fine, through the gateway, 192.168.0.1.

box1 has NWN 1.21 installed with blaze666's fix. So does box2. Both are installed with same CD key (see sad tale of woe below).

I get "CD key is already in use on server" when trying to play a game between these two boxes. I modified HOSTS on both to point nwmaster.bioware.com to localhost, and pinged nwmaster.bioware.com on both to ensure they correctly point to 127.0.0.1, which they do.

I am starting NWN on box1, doing Multiplayer, then new. I login with bogus name and password, and get "cannot connect to master server". I continue, set up server on port 9990. Then, begin game with my character. I then go to box2, do Multiplayer, enter different bogus username/password, get "cannot connect to master server", load Internet game (tried LAN game too), do Direct Connect, enter 192.168.0.2:9990 as IP address, and game password, and get the message "CD key is already in use on the server". Other server information shows correctly (number of players, PnP setting, Module Name, etc.), so connection is good.

This means neither blaze's nor crakhead's fix work for me.

Does anyone have any ideas how to make this work, or why it isn't? I've been trying this since the 1.19 private server fix, and getting frusterated!

Thanks.

(Sad tale of woe: A friend of mine doesn't have a PC strong enough to play NWN, so he won't buy it. I have two that are, so want to get him over here to play it, so that he gets hooked, and buys a strong enough PC and NWN, so we can play over Internet. He can only make it here once a month, so only playing here isn't a good option. I'm not gonna buy another copy just to have him come over once, and maybe not even like it. So, I really do have good intentions!)

You need to use the keygen that's floating around to make sure each installation has a unique cd key. Other than that your setup is fine.

Like crakhead said use the keygen. The keygen will work fine for installing NWN and playing LAN games but you will have to use your original key to host on the supplied servers account of the generated keys being unauthorized.

crakhead 02-08-2002 22:48

I apologize. People are blatantly talking about cracks to the server to not check cd keys which can serve no legit purpose -- I didn't think mentioning a keygen would be an issue.

Duly noted. :)

For 1.22 bioware seems to have embedded the IP address of the auth server so manipulating the host file no longer works. You'll have to install a firewall (www.kerio.com has a free one) and block UDP traffic to 66.244.193.142.
