question about replaceing the Xbox DVD
 

if i replaced the Xbox dvd drive with a normal PC dvd player will i still be able to play all my xbox games, and would it allow the xbox to read CD-R's or does it not read cd-rs because of a software mod ?

If you replace the XBOX drive it will read all backups, audio etc.. but will not read original XBOX games

Thanks I was going to get another DVD drive and install that in the xbox .

also will the pc dvd drive eject from the front switch on the xbox or not?

If you use a PC DVD Drive you will need to use a power splitter. 1 for the HD and the other to the PC DVD Drive. I don't think the eject button on the front of the XBOX will open the drive. You will most likley have to sit the drive outside the XBOX.
