Mod Install For Model 7501 PSX
Alright i've already installed one mod chip awhile back on my own playstation. now when i bought my mod chips i got 2 figured if i messed up id have a spare!
Neway i was successful My Model of PSX is 5501 So since i have an extra chip i figured id install it into my girlfriends sons playstation. His model is 7501 now i went to http://www.mod-chips.com/mod_install/PU22-3wires.jpg for a diagram of were the pins are etc. looks pretty simple accept if one of u guys could go to that page an look down by pin 6 and tell me what that blue jumper there by it is. they make no mention on the diagram of what that is! im figuring its like a jumper point. but figured i should ask one of u guys if thats correct or not. i dont wanna screw up his Psx! |
Creeper, the blue line shown on the 750x mother board is simply a short wire link between those two points. if this link is not made then the mod will not work and infact you may fin that the PSX will no longer boot any discs at all.
I remember from my days of modding that not all mod chips work with all versions of PSX. In fact if you ordered the chips before the 750x model was released then it may not function correctly anyway, if the 750x was arround at the time the there is a good chance that the chip will work fine as the codes are backwards compatable. I you have any other questions then either post or email me direct. |
