Mod chip and recordable disc info
Hello,
What is the best mod chip out there that does seem to have any problem playing every PS2 backed up games? Next, what is the best recordable discs that can be used to burn PS2 games? Another question I have is in regard to the type of games that can be backed up. I think that CD formatted games can be backed up using a regular CD - burner...but what type of recordable discs work well to burn PS2 games? AND... There are also DVD formatted games for the PS2. Do they have to be backed up using ONLY a DVD burner with DVD recordable discs? I am not sure how that works but I just want to make sure before I go wasting recordable DVD or CD blank discs. In case you need to know...I have a CD-burner that is 100% compatible with CloneCD and I think that I might have to buy a burner for the DVD formatted type games that I want to backup. IS that true? Please help a new guy out! Thanks to everyone who replies to all my questions. |
The best modchip available is the Messiah or the Magic 2.(As long as your PS2 supports them)
On the Best Disc question, it varys a great deal.... Verbatim, Apple, Princo..... These seem to work great..... There are some people that have had success using cheaper media... You said you have a 100% Clone CD compatible burner.... Then you can backup ALL CD based PS2 games.... You CAN backup DVD based games using a CD-burner... Its called ripping...... VERY CONFUSING AND VERY TIME CONSUMING..... Invest in a Pioneer A03 or A04 DVD burner.... ALOT less hassle....AND definately worth the money....... |
