GTA 3 no cd crack
 

When i try to run any of the no cd cracks from this site they say I have the wrong file size and won't run. Any ideas?

Run the patches on the _original_ executable. If you don't have it, well, tough luck, this forum and site is not for you. Also, make sure to understand which patch is for which version and language of the game.

Remember, hundreds (thousands) of people try patches for a given game. If it doesn't work for you _only_, there's something wrong with you, not the patch.

GTA III no cd Patches not working
 

I also have been un able to get ANY of the so called GTA III patches to work.

Only one of them half worked.... It by passed the Rock Star splash screen, only to ask for the cd after the intro movie.

I study programming at UNI, I am by no means any good, but I ain't stupid either.

Any suggestions ?

I'm currently using Myth's GTA3 v1.1 No-CD crack. It works fine. Just be sure to download the patch that converts GTA 3 to version 1.1 from 1.0 from Take2's support page first. Here's the link to the patch site:

Just follow the directions once you've downloaded the patch.

If you're having a graphical problem and you run WinXP, it could be a problem with your DirectX 8.1. Take2 also has a fix file for that. Just look for it under Support.

Here is where I am at.

Made a back up copy of both disks using cd Mate with safe disk settings.

Down loaded V1.1 patch from Take2games.

However when I try to install the myth patch I get this error
using WinRar 2.80

! C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\Myth\GTA311.ACE: Unknown method in gta3.exe
! Cannot execute "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\Rar$EX0v.936\gta3.exe"

When trying a number of the patches I have gotten the same error from WinRar.
Unknown method in gta3.exe

Do you or anybody else know what could be causing this ?
