You do not select fast error skip as psx games do not contain errors.

try these clonecd settings :

create a CD-Image using CloneCD with these settings:

Set Read Speed to 8x
Select Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks
Select Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks
Select Abort On Read Error
UnSelect Fast Error Skip
UnSelect Don't report bad sectors
UnSelect Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner

To burn image to cd:

Set Write Speed 2x
Select RAW DAO
Select Don't Repair SubChannel Data
UnSelect Simulate Writing (if available)
Select Burn Proof/Just Link (if available)
unSelect Perform Laser Power Calibration
unSelect Wait until Buffers are full
Select Always close last Session

Happy playing!

your disc may be dirty or damaged. try cleaning it warm soapy water or find another source disc.

use toothpast on deeper scratches and after that give it a good wipe.

Scratch repairs

Throw a touch of baking soda in with the toothpaste for deeper scratches--gives you a little more grit. Wash it in warm soapy water (mild detergent) and polish with the toothpaste again if it is a bit coarse. Wash again to get the toothpaste off. Finally buff the piss out of it with a radial CD Cleaner to give it a little extra polishing---make sure to use a decent amount of cleaning solution so the pad doesn't get dry and create a swirled abrasive pattern on the disc.

It is tedious, but I've managed to salvage a few rental games I snagged at a deep discount because they were scratched and skipped. You may want to invest in a GameDoctor for a bout $30 (US) It more or less automates the process, and only takes about 5-10 minutes to repair the whole disc at once.

Good Luck!

Raist.
