Import Player Light on PS2
 

I just modded my NTSC PS2 today with the SBOX (it's a v1 so I couldn't go for the really good chips) and it seems to work fine. I haven't yet tested a PS@ CD-R but I've tested PSX CD-Rs and they work fine. The thing is, most of my already burned PSX games are patched to PAL format because I was playing them on a PAL PSX. These display wrong on my NTSC PS2 because of the PAL video signal so to change the video to NTSC I downloaded and burned the Import Player Light boot disc v2.1 but it doesn't work! The disc boots fine and I managed to get an NTSC game run in PAL mode, but my PAL games won't run in NTSC mode! All the PAL games were originally NTSC games that were patched with NTSC->PAL patches. Sadly I don't have a PAL game that wasn't patched to PAL to try. The Import Player is supposed to work on the PS2, but only in PSOne mode. What is PSOne mode? Is there any other sollution for running PAL games on an NTSC PS2 without patching them first (and wasting a CD per game just for the video mode)?
