Warcraft 3, 1:1 copy possible ?
 

Well's I have tried posting here once asking about how to copy warcraft 3.
Here's the details of what I have tried.

Hardware:
LiteOn LTR-24102B , cabable of DAO-RAW read and write.

Softwares:
CloneCD 4.0.1.9 (latest)
BlindWrite 4.0.5.4 (latest)
CDMate 2.2.5.30 (latest updated)

Method:
I've tried reading the original CD at 1x, (somehow all 3 software packages report reading at 4x instead of 1x, even if I set it to 1x).
The image was read successfully with no errors.
Now writing at 2x. Again there was no reported errors in writing.
Now when the CD is played, it gives me this error.
"This program is currupt or incomplete. If you have downloaded this program, you may want to delete it and download a fresh copy".
All 3 software packages reported this same error.

Has anyone successfully made a 1:1 copy of this game?,
I've wasted 6 CD-R's trying to do this bitch, and I'm a tad pissed right now..

Ok I've finally done it, got a working 1:1 copy of warcraft3.
All thanks to CD Mate (latest updated!!).
I forgot to update my CD Mate and some reading error bs caused my copying to fail before.
But as soon as I updated it, voila..all is good.....
so CD Mate is the way to go peoples.

here's what I use..
 

I have the latest version of CD Mate 2.2.7.8 (updated patched).
I used the settings as so,
Read 4x,
Write 8x,

I used Clony XXL, to see what kind of protection was on the CD, and the advise Clony gave me was that.

Not working... WTF!?
 

I've used CD MATE (the newest version) and it didn't work... I used CloneCD 3.4.4.1 ... didn't work. (How do you change the settings in CloneCD?). I can't get this shit to WORK!!! What settings exactly should CD MATE be on? Help me out, please!

with CD Mate I use read at 4x, and write at 8x,
read the CD into an image first then burn that image out. (NOT on the fly)
And you have to have raw+sub channel turned on, when you write.
Must have a DAO-raw cabable burner.

yes it is possible

it only has securom 2

I have a LiteOn 24102b as well and until I got a drive that would read the Securom 2 disc correctly, I was unable to backup any of them. For some reason the LiteOn just wouldn't read the disc right. I bought a Toshiba DVD and now I use that to read all Securom 2 discs and use CloneCD to burn it, Works everytime.

thank your to clonecd(new version) and clone xxL.

i use clone xxL to check on the game than it show me how to set for clonecd. it too easy. if any need help with clonecd and clone xxL just post here .
