PAL/NTSC Selector

When I create my CD the image file indicates that it is PAL. My Playstation is NTSC. I see patches for NTSC to PAL, but nothing in reverse.

If I burn the CD as is, the game (Spiderman 2) will play, but the quality of graphics is very poor (pixelated and blue/red shadowing).

If I apply the PAL/NTSC Selector patch, the game does not load.

Is this the patch to convert to NTSC? Am I missing something, or do I just keep trrying?

I've applied other patches and created other game CD's successfully. It seems to be an issue only with two titles, Spiderman2 and DragonballGT Final Bout.

Are you using the right patch?

Use this method to apply patches: http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_patches.shtml

Some patches involve pressing the select button at the PAL/NTSC Selector screen to swap between. Press start after to start the game.

Hope that this is of some help to you

I am sure that I am using the right (only) patch that I see for Spiderman2.

Regarding the the patching information page, I have been applying the patch correctly with the right software (Patch-O-Matic)/ Although, I have been doing my back ups using either Blind-Write or CloneCD. I will try CDRWin tonight and see if it makes a difference with these titles.

Also will try the select button to switch video format, although with the patch applied, the 'please insert game disk' message never goes away after switching from my boot disk.

The backups play perfectly (at least video) on my PC with an emulator.
