Problems with Safedisc v2

Ok...I probably should be looking for help else where, but I thought I'd try here first.....
I've got Mechwarrior 4 Black Knight which seems to use Safedisc v2... I need to play from the original exe so I can play online (apparently servers do a crc check when you try and join and if the exe file is not the original you cant join)
My problem is Black Knight wont load and it seems to be a safedisc problem cause it loads with no problems when I use a crack with it. I get no error messages or anything when I try and load the original, it just shows the loader pic and then that disappears and nothing else happens.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is there a simple answer for this? Or am I gonna have to bug the crap out of Microshaft to make them ANSWER MY DAMN E-MAILS!!!!

p.s... I have the same problem with Mechcommander 2...guess it uses the same version of SD?

It is because you have unsucessfully copied the game. By using the cracked exe, you have taken all the protection checks away. By using the original exe again, the checks are there again and because you haven't copied it correctly (for whatever reason) it won't let you play.

Copying the game correctly 1:1 is hardware dependent. Your cd-writer must be capable of correct EFM coding - check the Clone CD site and look under supported writers to see how your's does.

Always keep your Daemon Tools updated to the latest version. The support for this app is excellent, with all blacklisting problems usually taken care of very quickly.
