Does anyone know what copyright is used on the album and how to get rid of it?
I tried copying it but when i tested it the cd crashed my pc and it wouldnt play on my cd player.

I'm guessing it is Key2Audio.
Try starting up Clone CD then inserting the cd into your drive, then use the audio profile (the main thing is to have only read/burn first session). The cd that you create with Clone CD will have no protection on it and you'll be able to rip the mp3's to your HD.

I used those settings but it didnt work, it still crashed the pc and didnt play on my cd player.

I looked at the back of the orignal cd and 3/4 is burned which is obviously the music, but also i noticed that near the edge of the cd there is a line that is also burned, could this be the problem?

i know the cd distributed with the times was protected by some IBM scheme. the line near the edge of the cd is most likely some enhanced content? just a thought.

what cd-wr do you have?
