DivX and Emulators on Xbox

Hi,
I have got two questions:

1. I read about different projects too play DivX, (S)VCD, mp3, etc. on the Xbox. How do they work and how good are they?

2. I also heard about projects too emulate other systems on Xbox, e.g. MAME and N64. What are they like? Would it be possible to play PS2- games on the box? (I doubt!)
