Laser damages
 

Hi everybody.
How could I know if my PS2 laser unit is damage?
Anybody here had the laser unit effected b/c the NEO4.1?
Please let me know if do you have this chip in your machine already? Does it work allright or it has effect the laser unit?

I have it in mine and am having troubles with it..mine will play ps2 orginals&psx backups but not ps2 backups anymore and the other day it did...will yours play anything at all?

What type of problem are you having? Can you boot CDR backups DVD-R backups, or only original games? Or are you thinking about buying the NEO4.1.

If you don't have the modchip yet, skip the NEO and get a MESSIAH...... Contact Charlie_PS2 or DUST2DUST via their profile and they can set you up with one.......:cool:

I would like to buy it... I have a US PS2 V3.... I can't get the messiah so I thought about the NEO chip.... but my PS2 already have a chip installed... i don't know the model of the chip I have... I think it's the first modchip released for the console... i can't play any game for it without swap including PSX... I can't play DVDR... and now I'm worried about my laser unit.... I never played DVDr on it... I played some PS2CDR and PS2 DVD original without problem...

find a film thats been put on dvdr
if your ps2 plays it then it can read dvdr
