do no solder mods easily burn up?
 

im asking this because within three months ive gone through two. and actually i dont even use my ps2 that much. this time it happened after i booted a dvdr wrong and the original disc came out spinning. just wondering if that can cause the chip to burn up or if its just coinsidence.
