dvd diode problems (charlie)
 

the problem started when i installed the neo2.5 chip .when the dvd cant play my original games i remove quickly and then i was tred whith a new no solder mod chip for my ps2 version 4 and the problem continued .I dont know if i need to clean the laser eye but if i can play cd and cdr i dont know what i need to do.Charlie is possible change the dvd diode ?

Certainly clean the laser with a CD Lens Cleaning Kit. The DVD laser diode is the size of a grain of sand. So it doesn't get replaced on its own. You have to replace the entire laser unit.

Go to the website I mentioned and see what it looks like. They also have a download for instructions to change the laser unit.
