DVD-R backup question?
I have a full DVD backup of the game Scooby Doo, but I do not know how to burn miltiple .gi's with Primo DVD. There are 4 .gi files for the game. Someone plz help!
|
www.psxcopyworld.co.uk has the tutorial. Pick it up at the burn point.
Select the .gi file withouth the bracketed numbers. |
The one without the brackets...ok thanks charlie.

Still have a problem, I was told that I need a Primo DVD Update. Because it wont read the gi, it says it's invalid. where would i get a primo dvd update? i checked their website.
|
Also, will a pal to ntsc patch work on a gi ?

As to patches - I haven't discovered how to do it for .gi files. |
Oops I saw the px engine thing but I didn't think that was it. Thanks.
|
the release notes on ppf3 were redeveloped to allow patching of dvd games (gi files)
but not seen any patches available yet |
So, if I have a PAL DVD backup, I can't play it on my NTSC system, or it will be in black and white or something like that? Is there any thing I can do (other than a patch).
|
A PAL DVD backup will play on an NTSC PS2 with the right modchip and boot method. Whether or not it will display correctly on an NTSC TV is a different matter. If you NTSC TV (as many widescreen models do) support 50Hz PAL in one of the AV ports, you are all right.

Ok I'll have to check the TV (doubt it has it though... lol) Thanks for the help.

Found some PAL to NTSC patches for full DVD images here: http://ps2chimps.consoleinfo.com/ =)
