Apply a patch with Clone CD

I read somewhere in this forum that clone cd is useless for anti-mod chip protected games... "I Don't Think So Tim" All you have to do is "rename the *.img file to *.bin then apply the anti-mod fix or patch or trainers and then "rename the file back to *.img and then burn it...It takes a real rocket scientist to figure that one out thanks.....

It is useless to use clonecd if you don't have a stealth chip to by pass the protection check because it will just copy the protection as well.

CDR-WIN is the only useless thing I see, you have to patch every single copy in order to play, that sucks...And anyone who is serious about backing up should have a mod-chip installed in thier Playstation... Then get the latest version of cloneCD, I mean really there insn't any other program that comes close, then get ppf-o-matic version 3 for those rare occasions when a patch is needed and only in the case of anti-mod chip protected games... Finaly you should use clony xxl to dectect the protection and set the setting for cloneCD....CDR-WIN lol give me a break.....

speaking of patching do you use the ppf o matic to patch it.Because when I try to patch my games it says that the bin file is different and that it's to big or something.???????????does that happen to you?

make sure you are using the correct patch.

clonecd and cdrwin are the 2 best programs for burning your psx backups. BTW cdrwin was designed to backup psx games.

The only thing I can find on my game is a trainer. Therefore, I copied the game withOUT the trainer and it would NOT work.

I attempted to load the trainer to the file prior to burning but don't know what program to use to load the file. The file shows _\____ /\_/\____/\_____/\_____ /\__/_
\ |/ / ___/ \ / _ \_ \/ _/ poyZ
__ _\ / / __/\ \_ _/ / | \/ |__ __
\\_\\_\ __/_______\ /_\ _____|__||_ |_//_//
<--- --\/----------\/---\/----------\|------
Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase +5 Trainer!
-[GBA/IPS/SELECTABLE]------------------ --->

I will keep on attempting to load the file.

Please help

Durango618, cdrwin is an excellent program. clone cds only real advantage with psx games is it can clone them and cdrwin has to patch.

hardly any games even need to be patched, so i dont know what your dribbling about there.

and clony xxl is crap for psx. it just says "psx cd- libcrypt". it doesnt even know if the game is protected or not! clony is only good for pc game protections not psx.
