Dungeon Siege, CLone CD, Region Settings?
Hello. I've been reading for quite some time and STILL can't seem to get a good back-up of Dungeon Siege. Here is what I've done:
I have ClonyXXL 2.0.0.6 AND CloneCD 4.0.0.1 I've run Clony then launched CloneCD and burned an image then to the CDR but it doens't work. (Disc not formatted properly) error after I begin game. I have a Toshiba SD M1402 CD Reader and a Plextor 1210A CDRW. If I change my region settings, do I change "Standards and Formats" OR "Location" as there are two places in Windows XP? I've made two coasters so far, and want to learn a better way. Do I need a better CD Reader? Thanks Shades |
Seems like you need a new writer. Search www.elby.ch under supported writers.

burners fine
No my burner (Plextor 1210A) is both on the list and burning fine. I just d/l another/different version of Clony and burned another CD. Seems to play ok, but the autostart doesn't start when I insert the backup like it does when I insert the original.
Thanks for the reply, Shades |
Well, not only does it have to be on the list, in order to clone most of the available copy protections you need two dots correct EFM encoding and RAW-DAO (16 is fine for most protections).
Does your writer have this? Quote:

Nope
Emptyeighty, thanks for the help. No my writer doesn't have 2 dots for the EMF encoding! Looks like I will start looking for another writer! Which do you suggest?
As for the game, I haven't tried to uninstall and re-install yet. (Original is at home) Will try tomorrow. Let me know about the writer. I've read the Lite-On is pretty good. Shades:cool: |
Yes, Lite-Ons are sait to be able to copy about anything at a moderate price.
Cant tell for sure though. |
i have alite-on and it can do everything....

Thanks Packer, I'm gonna start looking!

Wait before buying a writer now!
SD3 seems to be out and its hard to clone. |
Thanks
Thanks Empty, I'll wait and see what can clone SD3 the best. Where should I look for this kind of info?
