is the the messiah modchip compatible with v5 USA consoles? If so where can I get a couple - say 7 or so.

Just wait for Messiah LE Chip..It's on the way..Compatible with Ver.1-5 and All Japanese models..Estimate Arrival date is Sometime in May..Especially if you got R model that's good for you because R has a Improved Laser for DVD-r games..
This is NOT Messiah 2(On the way) rather upgrade from Original Messiah..Anyway if you can't wait get the Origa or R mod chip I guess.Recommanded you wait..
