Neo 2.2 Laser
 

ive just got a dvd writer...but ppl have said several times on the forum that the neo2.2 wears out the laser..so dvd-r wont play...if ive only played cd-r on it so far..decide to change neo for a messiah...will the laser already of been effected...considering no dvd-r games have been played on it...or will it be alrite?...thanx

yes, the laser will have been effected already.
how bad depends on how long the neo was installed. you can test it by burning and running a dvd-r game on it. if it works well, get rid of the neo 2 and install the messiah before more damage is caused. if it skips (use decent media like verbatim, and burn at 1x to test), then the laser is already having problems.
