XBOX/Standalone DivX Player...
 

I heard somewhere that XBOX is capable of playing back DivX movies. Is it true? If not, what are the chances of a future standalone DivX player coming out, or better still a DVD player that is DivX compatible?

One more question...

Will it ever be possible to do a straight copy of a DVD in the same way that you can copy an audio CD? I know you'd need a dual-layer writer of some variety. In the mean time I'm happy backing-up to DivX as long as I can play the finished movies on the TV without having to use my PC. Too much too ask?
