Thanks for that info in your last reply,

As it happens I have a V4 Ps2 with a date code of 1C which I heard was unable to run the messiah chip. Is this true?

If so would the Origa be a good choice? If this was to be installed properaly would I then be set to play PAL original games(i.e. bought from retailer) and NTSC or would these(pal games) need to be copied/patched or altered in some way?

Does a Game Shark2 need to be used with origa?

PS: My tv is NTSC compatible and I have been playing US gamesdown here in NZ with use of a step-down transformer. So really its just a matter of being able to run PAL games now.

Also out of interest do you know if the my cd writer a HP cd-writer plus 8200 series is compatible with clonecd. I wasn't 100% sure from reading there site.

Thanks for ya help,
Cam.

ANSWER from Charlie: Yes unless it's a 35001. Check with the C.h.i.n.a. Messiah site.

ANSWER from Charlie: Some do some sort of don't. The ones that don't don't direct boot import originals - you have to use the GS2 for that.

ANSWER from Charlie: Yes - for backups only. No high TOC DVD game required.

ANSWER from Charlie: Yep that's what the Origa is good at - import games originals or backups. Make sure you ordeer the right Origa chip (US version).

Also out of interest do you know if the my cd writer a HP cd-writer plus 8200 series is compatible with clonecd. I wasn't 100% sure from reading there site.
ANSWER from Charlie: No - it's useless (forgive me) as are all HP DVD-R products. Yamaha or Plextor are best CD writers, esp. Yamaha 2200.

Thanks for ya help,
Cam.
