applying patches

Can you use Nero to create image files and then apply a patch? I'm trying to do spyro year of the dragon. I made a copy but you have to use the gameshark codes to enable the game..this causes the game to lock-up though, so I wanted to try and just patch it.

first thing first nero sucks at backing up playstation games(thats what i think, most will agree) why not just use cdrwin the patches were made for its bin file. no you can not apply patches to nero's image.

don't waste your time with the patches, use clonecd(if hardware is 100% compatible)

yes that will work only if you have a stealth chip because clone will copy the protection.that is why we have to patch those games.

Thanks for the reply's. I've used nero alot for games and haven't had any problems. I did download cdrwin as well as the patch and ppf-o-matic and patched it that way and it worked! And the deal with clonecd copying the anti-mod code is true..Actually nero burned it and with the ps-exchange, I could load the gameshark code to enable the game..however the game would freeze at certain points and that's why I'm here. Anyway mission accomplished and thank you...

Can I ask a Q you guys ?.....

Why don't you just fit a stealth chip ?
With one fitted you just shove in any CD, original or backup, or import and away you go. Nothing else is needed.
Luvvly jubbly.

If its anything to do with a PS-One let me know as I have one beside in bits me waiting to be chipped.

Well, where would the fun in that be? I can afford to buy the game if I want..I just wanted to be able to do it..
