new modchi!! Remove???
Hi
I have just bought a new modchip it's the "NO Solder Bootchip v5". But I have already installed the neo 2.2 in my ps2, should I remove it and then put the new modchip in??? But this new modchip doesn't have to be soldered, could I just put it in without removing the neo 2.2???? |
In principle, what should happen is that in the early stage of booting the tray will eject, wait 4 seconds an then go back in.
So if you're doing theings the NEO2.2 way, you wouldn't do a swap at that point. If you're doing things the R-mod way, then you can swap a DVD-R in, for instance according to the rules of the R-mod. Perhaps that can be confiormed by someone who's done it but I don't think there are many. |
keep the neo installed. that way games over 640 MB will work properly too, as well as dvd-r copies.

I agree, leave the neo2 chip installed. It works best for PSX and PS2 cdr backups. Use the r-mod for EA games as well as dvd-r backups

Sorry guys my mistake... It was a Messiah-chip not that"no Solder" one... So should I still keep the neo2.2?? because there neo 2.2 isn't really needed anymore right???
|
in that case, remove the neo 2.
