Settings for Tekken 1

Hello there!

Yesterday I scratched my Tekken 1 CD. It still works, but the sound sounds a bit strange. Now I'd like to make a backup of my original CD.
Can somebody tell me the best settingson CloneCD to get a working backup?

I tried with the settings, Clony XXL gave me, but they don't work!

Greetz, FeierPower

try these clone settings

create a cd image using clone cd with these settings.

set read speed to 1 0r 2x
select read subchanel data from data tracks
select read subchanel data from audio tracks
select abort on read errors
unselect fast error skip
set read retry to at least 5
set error corrections to none
unselect dont report bad sectors
unselect intelligent bad sector scanner

to burn image to cd

set write speed 1 or 2x
select RAW DAO
select dont repair subchannel data
unselect simulate writing (if available)
select burn proof/just link (if available)
unselect perform laser power calibration
unselect wait until buffers are full
select always close last session

happy playing

One more little question!

I tried the settings, you gave to me, but... uhm ... when I select "abort on read errors", I can't setup the read retries and the correction mode.
I have to unselect the "abort on read errors" to change any settings "Read retries" and "Corrections mode".

I use the newest CloneCD version. Maybe there's something different to your version?
Please tell me!

Greetz!

P.S.: I didn't find the burn proof switch!

There are the following switches (it's the german version):
Schutz vor Puffer-Lehrlauf
Laser Power Calibrierung
Verstärke schwache Sektoren
Subchannel Daten nicht reparieren
Letzte Session immer schließen

ok well when you make the image
select read subchanel data from data tracks
select read subchanel data from audio tracks
abort on read errors then everything else should be grayed out.then just hit next, then ok

then burn it back with the setting i gave you and you should have no problem,i just burnt tekken 3 with those setting and every thing works fine on this end. if that doesnt work sit tight and someone else maby be able to tell you what is going on. ps do you have a mod chip?

Thanx!

Yeah, I've got a MOD Chip and I think it will do the job!
That backup is my first one, because I earned the playstation about 2 months ago. Now I'd like to copy all the originals and leave them on my shelf. I don't want htem to get scratches, because my little cousin plays with the psx too. The copys could get some scratches, when they don't workany more, I can make a new backup.
Does this setting work with other games too?

Greetz!

P.S.: I tried the settings you gave me instinctly before you wrote back. And it worked fine with the Tekken 1!

BIG Thanx!:)

yes these setting will work for about 99% of the games as long as they arnt mod proctected.if they are you will have to patch the image befor you burn it back to a cdr.
