I have a valid CD-key and am using version 1.11 no-cd patch. When i try to play multiplayer, it tells me "connection to server timed out" Any help?

ya proly need a better internet connection.

no guys - this guy is right. I have the same problem. I have 1.00, which I upgraded to 1.11 which would not even play the single player mode anymore. I have 700+KBPS ADSL and time out even when the ping is under 50. What's weird is that it has happened to my THPS 3 as well after I tried to install the NO-CD. What kind of system/network files could be corrupted here? I have Deus EX and Quake III and they run through gamespy fine. THPS used to work fine, but MOHAA has never been able to get online. Any Ideas?

No i think they are right. i think i see what is happening here.


i think the servers are checking the MOHAA.exe file size and/or date to see if it is the original properties or not. If it sees the cracked value (any value that is not origianl) it will not connect. This is also done with some new games- Age of Mtyhology. very tricky.

If it would be possible to change the cracked exe file size and date to report the original exe's value i think this might solve the problem.

I don't believe that last post is true. I think that you need an up to date no cd .exe version and the matching version for the game. I have used this no cd crack with no problems. Check megagames for the most updated versions.

The Facts
 

MOHAA needs the cracked Multi-player.exe. If you look in the MOHAA folder on your hard drive there is a MOHAA Mult-player.exe in there.

wrong there is an .exe for the Game its self and an .exe for the Server there is no multiplayer.exe and a singleplayer.exe its all into one so all u really need is a working correct version no-cd .exe :cool:

From my experience with no cd cracks, I believe that cobra is more on track with this. For example, Star wars Jedi Knight 2 Jedi outkast has an .EXE for both the single player and the multiplayer parts of the game. And yes in Star Wars JK2, (Talking from experience), you do need a single player and a multi player cracked exe for this to work. You also need the correct patch for the correct version of the game. Medal of honor Allied Assault has only one main exe and the other is for creating a server. Hope to clear up the confusion. (Or add to it :D )

You guys are right it is not a mult-player.exe it is a mult-player fix you will need.If you give me your e-mail I will attach this file
