-* CloneCD question + Sims trouble *-
When I installed CloneCd it said that I can't use the hide cd-r media and amplify weak sectors since I'm located in the US. How can I use those features? Do I need to download a non-US version?
Also, I copied The Sims, and am trying to run it on XP, and it's doing the damndest things. For a week, it worked fine. Then XP started giving me error reports when I tried to start it up. So....I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows and loaded the game back up and it worked fine. Now, after a couple of days, it's doing the same thing. My girlfriend likes to use a money cheat code while playing. Could that be the problem???? Cuz I'm clueless. Please help me out. Thanks. |
Could somebody plz help me?
My system specs are as follows: Iwill 333 Mobo AMD 1600+ 512 mb Crucial DDR ram 60 gig seagate hd Lite-on 24x cd-burner Geforce 3 ti200 Windows XP I'd really like to figure out how to get The Sims to work and how to use hide-cdr media and amplify weak sectors in clonecd. Thanks. |
To enable AWS and Hide CD-R Media, change you regional settings in your Control Panel to Canada or elsewhere.
|
Thanks. I'll do that.
So nobody else has had any problems with a backed-up Sims on WinXP? |
no problems here. if you have problems with the backup and not the original, you have a shitty backup.
|
Could it be WinXP? Theres some troubles with the new Windows and playing certain games.
|
Yep, could be. Right click main.exe > properties > Compability mode (Win98, me).
|
just for the record, sims has never crashed on me, and never needed a compatibility fix. im kind of curiuos as to why yours doesnt work. did you install and play from the original disk ?
also, no need for hide cd-r media on the sims |
