More DJ trouble

I can never find in depth troubleshooting guides as to why a burn fails. I can match up the syptoms and use an alternative, while some are vague and others are precise, they never tell me as to why something didn't work as it should. I can never get on go.to/selfboot to read their tutorials either and nowadays my only info comes from this forum and the included readme's in utils. A nice in-depth site would be appreciated.

Anyway, I am having a problem with DJ. EVERYTIME DJ tries to write the second session(just when my 2 meg buffer is filled), everthing stops and my burner doesn't respond. In fact, I try to abort the operation and DJ cant find the drive its writing to. I can't explore the drive, windows says please enter a cd. I look at the leds on the drive itself and its stuck in "write". While writing I obviously cannot eject the disk by any means. Half the time this happens in about 2 minutes it starts up again, but I dont like of buying 100 disks and 50 of them becoming coasters. I dont even have 50 cups to use'em.

So I restart my computer and it the drive is restored, but my disk is ruined. I go check the tracks and lba and the first session is perfect, which is the hard part for most people. I know I can use CDIrip to rip the second session and use CDRWIN or FireBurner etc. to burn that, but it never works because there isn't an open session.

I need an app that will open a second session, or a solution to my DJ trouble.

Nero doesn't work. <---- be glad I don't write anymore :D

I know its long but usually vague questions instigate vague responses

Get another CDRW drive.

If you can't open a "second session" using Nero, your drive doesn't support it. The only way you're going to be successful is to drop a buck or two on some new hardware.
