question about messiah, need reply very soon!

From what I understand the only US/NTSC PS2 that the Messiah will work on is a v4 board with a Gap Bios...is this true, and how could you tell if your v4 has a Gap Bios or not? or do all v4's have the Gap Bios.

This is urgent so if you know plz reply as soon as possible.
Thanks :D

Here is the compatibility list - forget about gap/non-gap BIOS:

PAL: SCPH30003, 30003R, 35003, 35003R, 30004, 30004R, 35004 & 35004R likewise 30002
NTSC-USA: SCPH30001 (V4 w/ DateCode 1A or 1B or 0D)
NTSC-USA: SCPH35001 (All)
(NTSC-USA: SCPH30001 (V4 w/DateCode:1C IS HAVING ISSUES NOT COMPATIBLE)

Charlie_ps2,

what are the issues with datacode 1C ?? not-working at all ?? working somewhat ??

Also are there plans to fix that issue in up-comming versions ??

They are BIOS issues. The Messiah/1 was only partially developed for NTSC and the test PS2s they had were of a particular BIOS brand.

There is mention now of a Messiah/2 slated for July 2002. No reason why this should not occur provided that Sony don't get to the designers.
