Yeah, I'm lame. Need help again.

I finally gotten my backups to play consistantly, but now I have problems with the music. One track will play, like on the first level or stage, but from the second and then on, music will no longer play. Most of the time when using Verbatims, music does not play at all. The sound effects are fine, I assume since they are just stored in ram. I tried searching the archives, but I've tried most of the things suggested.

Here is what I am using.
Clone CD w/Clony XXL
Ricoh DVD/CD-RW MP9120
Playstation #SCPH-7501 w/Game Enhancer (Gold Finger)
Verbatim Data Life & Office Depot CD-Rs (Office Depot seems to work better)
Tried reading and writing at both 2x and 4x
also running my PS on it's side

I usually burn all my PSX games at 1X (I know, it's tedious), but the backups come out perfectly. Even at 2X, i get massive amounts of skipping in music and FMV's.

this goldfinger thing is like an external modchip isnt it? this is your problem, get an internal modchip instead.

Yeah, the Goldfinger is one of those external plug mods.

It took awhile go get some troubleshooting done since nobody I know plays games or has computers.
So far...
The media has not made much difference.
ClonyXXL did not help
Using CDRwin did not work
I tried different plug mods, none worked any better
I tried a modded PSone, my burnt games still do not work right but games others burnt worked. Most games I burn do not work at all.

I have come to the conlusion that my burner may be the problem. I have the Ricoh MP9120 DVD/CDRW Combo Drive. Are there any specific burners that are better at burning games?
