Settings to backup Heroes IV?
 

I have a liteon 24x (24102b I think). I've tried the settings on CloneCD and blindwrite for safedisk2 but I can't seem to backup Heroes of Might and Magic IV. Anybody have any suggestions?

If the game is newish, it may have an ATIP check so enable Hide CD-R Media in the CCD Tray if you play it from a burner.

I see the option but it won't let me select it. I have the disc in the tray and everything. Btw the game is brand new, it's been out for a week I think.

If you are in the US it is probably disabled due to legal reasons. Emigrate to Canada by looking in the Regional Settings in your Control Panel.

last version of clone cd doesn't have this kind of region "limit"..

not? i am already on CANADA so i wouldn't know. THat is interesting. So why does it not have it?

maybe its cause its beta. maybe its because the riaa is in a world of shit. im hoping for the second

I'm delighted and grateful that there's new versions coming out all the time. Even though I have to download it on a 56K modem, Olli obviously has developed a technique which takes away his need for any sleep so he can work 24hrs on his excellent program.

It's one of the head recording industry thingys who like to sue evveryone and release copy protected audio cd's. :mad:
