Tried to backup Trains and Trucks Tycoon: something went wrong - Help!

Hello,

please excuse my bad english. I have a problem: I tried to backup the German Version of Trains and Trucks Tycoon (Schiene und Strasse) with Nero Burning Rom (latest version) and have setup al the necessery things like "don't correct failures, write image uncorrected" etc. It took nearly 1 hour to read the complete CD. After having burned the stuff on a CD-R, the result was that the copyed CD where no accepted at the starting screen. It said: Please enter the correct CD, so I through the CD-R to the trashcan. As I looked at the Original-CD od Trains and Tycoon, I was shocked! The CD surface where full of scratches! These scratches looked very bad. I made a scan of my CD. Please say me what fucking copy protection this is??? When I have more time, I will made a scan und upload it here.

I would not make the long work with backuping the CD when there were a crack availbale but unfortunatly there is no crack for this game. All I can find is a trainer and some cheats. Do You know where to find a crack for this game or how to backup the game??? My equipment: Amd Athlon XP 1600, 512 MB DDR Ram, 40 GB HDD, Pioneer DVD Rom, Teac 20x10x10 CD-Writer.

I don't own the game, but as far as I know the game isn't protected at all.

If the game runs with the original CD the scratches can't be "too bad".

Try cleaning the original disc carefully and try copying again. Maybe you should try cloncd (if your writer is supported)

Hope this helps!

Yeah this looks really bad. I have no idea what it might be. Before trying to copy the original CD the surface of the CD was like everybody else. It happened after having read the whole CD and after I put it out of my CD reader. It makes me wondering that this CD is still readable in my DVD Rom drive! There is no problem. I put the CD in and the autostart pops up at once... Any ideas?

I am not sure, but the scratches look rather symetric. Check the drive you used to read the cd. Maybe it is damaged or there is something in it, which doesn't belong there. Did you try to explore your backup ?

is your pioneer dvd rom one with out a disk tray because the one without it sometimes scratches the cd going and coming out
