PS2 DVD-R Labels?

 Does anyone know if you can make labels for your DVD-R backup discs? I didn't know if labeling the disc would make the disc not read correctly. If you can, what brand of labels have people on the forum been using with the most success.. Also what brand and type of media would everyone rec.....
;) Thanks for everyones help!!!!

I RECOMMEND NO LABELS ESPECIALLY ON DVDR AS THEY CAN PUT BALANCE OF DVD OUT
MAKING IT HARDER TO READ

I haven't copied DVD's but I have CD's

I've labelled all these without any reading problems.

I use the cheapest CD's I can lay my hands on, and I'm using the Data Becker software and stickers, wicked program.

However after saying all this, if you couldn't afford to make another copy of the DVD, just in case you have problems centering the sticker or if for some reason you kill the PS2 and couldn't afford another one, I too would agree with Dust.

In which case use an CD writing pen. Available in most good stationary shops in your area.

yes i label cheap cdr now also but they r stable and easy to read
many ps2 have problems with dvdr putting label on it will not make it better
IT WILL MAKE HARDER TO READ FOR SURE
BALANCE WONT B 100% CORRECT NOT EVEN WITH BEST LABEL APPLICATOR THIS CAUSE THE DVDR TO WOBBLE SLIGHTLY WHEN SPINNING BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS MAKE IT HARDER TO READ

I label everything including DVD-R
I also use the cheapest of the cheap DVD-R (£1.89 each)

I have no problems playing these labelled.

I had a copy of metal gear solid 2
It froze on the first cut scene. (without label)

I labelled it, as I can skip the cut scene if needed.
The cut scene now plays fine. (with label)

So labelling works for me!

I would recommend CD Stomper labels. I use these on both CD and DVD without any problem.

I should avoid using the CD/DVD for a couple of hous after labelling as this gives time for the adhesive to work.

NOTE: You should always use the applicator supplied with the label system as this ensures the correct positioning of the label.

Hope that answers all your questions.
