How can I play a burned copy of Diablo 2?
 

Ok.. I know nothing about this stuff..

I got D2 burned(all the discs)

Nothing special was done to them or anything, they were just burned from the original copies..

I can get the game installed, but when it comes to running it.. my CD rom drive doesnt seem to recognize the disc..

So how would I go on to be able to play it?

That's a sign you mightn't have copied the game properly as this is the copy protection kicking in. Use the search feature to look for this game. I beleive it uses Securom New, download Clone CD and Clony XXL. Search the forum

So Ill have to burn the CD again?

err, ok.

You can also do a full install (takes about 1.5GB on your HD) and then download a NoCD crack (see this thread to know where to look for it: http://www.fileforums.com/showthread...threadid=28164)

Play Instructions:
Install the game - Full Installation (~ 1.5 GB).
Replace the original Game Executable with the one from the Patch Archive. ^^^What does this mean?
Copy the following file from CD#2 (PLAY CD) to the game directory:
D2MUSIC.MPQ
Play the Game!

After you have downloaded the crack (be sure it's the right one concerning language and version number) you will have a file with either a zip, ace or rar extension. You will have to use WinZIP, WinACE or WinRAR to extract the files. (use google to find any of these programs).

Within this archive there should be an exe file.

Go to you game directory and rename the original exe to the extension orgexe (or anything else). Then copy the exe from the archive to the directory where the orgexe is.
