Backup Copies will not Boot

I have a playstation 2 with a USB Mod Chip.
I have tried to creat backups of my PS1 and PS2 games but none will boot. I get this error no data and the system locks up.
I can read the disk on my PC and the file struture looks the same as the original disk. I have used Nero, CDRWIN, CLoneCD, and others to no avail. What could I be doing wrong? The disks I'm using are Memorex, HP, Imation they are all CD-RW disks.
The installer told me to start with PS1 disks which should boot direct but don't. He claims that he tested it before it left the shop.
He claims it's a format problem.
Thanks

You are using CD-RW, very clever, seeing as there is no requirement for a PS2 to ever read that type of disc therefore it doesn't.
You mean to tell me that CD-RW disks will not work?
I hope your sure about this I hate the write once CD's.
Thanks
Mike

How are you doing this mstubbs. Is there a certian way you are doing it with a USB mod? I can't get it to work right...anyone?

CloneCD

Try CloneCD GS2 with USB Mod.
Works very well.:)

so all i have to do is use it and then play it right away or what exactly has to be the setup for the PS2...gameshark, anything...
