Scratched Disc.? The Best Method For Cleaning?
 
I have had the original Max Payne for months now but i have recently formatted my HD so a few weeks back i tried to install it on again but it froze at 58% of installing. so i cleaned it. it now got past 58% now it freezes at 98%.

anyone got any good methods of cleaning discs?
.please post them here.

Use that Disk Doctor CD DVD cratch repair unit. its 29.99 and works really well. saved alot of my scratched disks.

Beside toothpaste, a tooth-powder is very usefull - its abrasivity is very good, but it`s hard to buy this thing today.
The same with chalk (if disk is scrached very badly), but you sould find very fine-grained one, w/o any dirt and use it with caution - then use finer abrasive, such as toothpaste.

What i really meant was that CD Repair Kit thingy. I didnt mean this whole thing abour Audio CDs. Ill put that in that other thread.

no,it wasnt just dirt.
it had a big fuck off scratch right down the front of the disc.
i thought the cd was knackered but i cloned it with my lite-on now it works great
