Operation Flashpoint Beginner
 

Hi there Vluka !

I have Operation Flashpoint (Eu version 1.00) - after reading so many threads with explanations on what to download and how to patch different versions - I thought you may be able to explain what I actually need and where to download patches/fixes and how to do it !

I beleive I need to download Ultimate Update 2 - then 3 and then 1.46 ?

Also one of the threads someone mentions a 'beta' patch - isn't this different to a normal patch (ie 1.30 beta being different to 1.30 ??)

Well, i am not VLuka :) but i have some Flashpoint expirience :)

You are right! Update2, then 3 and finally 1.46 is the correct way of patching.
Now if you want to patch the game using your backup-cd then you will have to use the 'fixed' patches. If you want to use your original cd (higly recommended, because original=less things to go wrong) then simply download these patches and apply them.

I am using my backup copy - origonal is damaged.
Which fixed patches do I need and where can I get them ? - do I need to use a no-cd fix at the end ?

well u need the fixed versions of these 3 updates. your local gamecopyworld-retailer surely has them in-store :)

Whilst I can see what I need to do - and where to obtain these files - please can you tell me exactly the names of the files ? - there are quite a few with the same version.
For example 1.2 fixed exe and 1.2 no-cd or 1.2/1.3 beta no-cd and 1.2 playfix - do I apply the 'fix' to the patch before updating and then after each 'Ultimate Update' apply 'no-cd fix' - if you can see where I am coming from .......... ?
I would appreciate anyones help with a sequence list of what files (names) to use at each stage of the updates.

I am using a backup copy of OPFP - quite sure it does'nt ask for serial number - will this still work ?

When installing - it asks for the serial and you just click 'next' without having to enter a serial and it installs ok.
The backed-up installation then works ok after applying a patched operation flashpoint.exe on the disk - plays ok !
What is FADEII - is there a patch for this as well ?
