Counter Strike Help
 

Hi,
I got the game goin on gamespy but then during the game where its loading up to connect it says that it has connected to the server but then it just pauses just before it goes into the game where I can play.:(

Its gettin really annoying now because I have been trying to get it to work all day.

I have checked all my configuration setting and they are perfect.

I really need help with this so can someone PLEASE help me with it?

usually, it is something to do with the gfx card. Have you tried getting the latest driver release?

If it isn't, try reinstalling CS.

If your using a g-force gfx card you can get the drivers from www.nvidia.com, if not search on www.google.com for your gfx model.

Im not using a G-force card im am using a Creative Lab's Voodoo2 12Mb PCI board and im using the latest voodoo2 drivers, but im not sure wots going on becoz i have checked my setting and they are perfect.

type retry in the console and wait a bit, u should connect after that.

btw: for a voodoo2 card i highly recommend the wickedgl opengl drivers! get them from www.wicked3d.com (i think u have to register for that). these drivers provide better graphics (u will immediately notice the difference) and more important, they are extreme fast.
