Plextor Firmware Downgrade Project!
 

Hey, The way I figure it is that if we can upgrade our firmwares we should be able to downgrade them somehow. Its not like Plextor is completely locking us out of modifying the firmware seeing as how we can upgrade them...

We need somebody SUPER SMART to figure out how to modify the 1.04 firmware so that the drive thinks its a newer version than what the drive is currently using... I figure it shouldn't be too hard to do for somebody that knows how to hex edit.

Please, If you know anybody please pass this on, Im sure it would be very much appreciated by the community if somebody were able to figure out a way for us to be able to burn those Safedisks on our Plextor12x10x32 Drives.

Hey guys... Just found this site that looks promising for those of you who are having problems downgrading the firmware.... I haven't been able to try the stuff yet because I'm getting my 10x12x32 Plextor drive tomorrow...

Found a cool little program which will allow you to play unperfect copies of SD2 Protected games... looks pretty cool.. ##### it out

for some brands update/m/2/f/at works where m=master,2=secondairy ide,f=force flash,at=at bus
change for your own config maybe it will work (dos flash only)don't know the flash program for the plex because i don't have it myself (try at own risk!)
