Downgrading Plextor

What are the implications of having firmware v1.07 compared to v1.04?

ana_geo_s 19-05-2001 23:36

Come on illusion. I think you want firmware 1.07 for SD2 but, I however believe this is rather an illusion (don;t mean anything about you.). I know that the problem in doing SD2 with Plex nanies is not in firmware but in some chips made from SANYO. So you should upgrade your FIRMARE TO 1.07 if you can

well I would not go wild on just flashing your Plextor.

Talk is the problem with Plextors burning Safedisc 2 is due to the Sanyo chipsets. But since no one seems to be able to produce any writing evidence, I will just make up some BS and tell you that you have to install the burner upside down over the power supply so it will burn Safedisc 2.

Until someone shows me a creditable article on the Sanyo chipset, then I have to say they are just blowin smoke.

Hey dude, can you explain to me what are you trying to say?
I'm not english native, and in general I can read it somewhat good, but I don't understand your last reply.

Please give me a detailed description so I can understand. żUpside down over the power supply? I don't know what the heck does this mean.

OK, Thanks a lot everyone !

Let's close ths downgrading discussion NOW for once and for all. I think it should be clear now to anyone...

If you think downgrading is the solution ... well, try it for god's sake and if doesn't work out... well, TOO bad. that's the way it is going to be then !
