I have a cd which will only allow me to use the programme 5 times then i can no longer run the programme.
Is it possible to overide the protection so I can use it as often as I like?

I've heard rumours that if you type in your credit card number in the creator's website, you can actually use it more than 5 times - in fact, as much as you want. But hey, it's only a rumour.

Do you honestly believe that the information available on GCW is used solely for the purpose of copying games, CDs, MP3S etc for personal back up?
How many songs have been copied without buying them? on how many games have people ovewritten the protection to return the CD to its rightful owner but continue playing the game?
Have you ever recorded an album off a friend, borrowed a DVD, Video? mmm I wonder.
If you are going to be all moralstic be consistent.

ahhhh very clever - "Do not be judged or you too will be judged" Went and looked it up after all.

If I knew a heap of Bible references believe me I would come back with a Biblical reference to smack that one down. But.....

back to reality - bit skeptical. How would you like at the end of the week.month, your boss telling you that he's found a loophole in the system and now he doesn't have to pay you for your work. Hard done by? I'd think so.

I am not a person of low moral fibre, but I genuinly believe that the software is vastly overpriced at £1500.I work 70/80 hours a week to turn over considerably less profit than the company who's software I am trying to 'make a back-up copy of for my own personal use'.
I would imagine that the very clever person who wrote it will continue to recieve his salary, my indiscretion can only affect the huge profits of the richest man on the planet.
Personally I do not think he will go bankrupt, if so then I deserve to spend a long time in purgatory which I will do so gladly.

£1500 - f***. It must be a big program, so you aren't just hurting the "clever person", you may be putting other labourers out of pocket/their jobs who worked in a huge team to develop this software. It's not just one person.

Your boss doesn't give you your wages - your family also suffers not just you.

"back-up copy for my own personal use" is the euphemism used at GCW.
Your average person with a moderate ammount of brain cells, [which I would imagine you have as you have taken it upon yourself to rid the world of unscrupulous individuals like me who compromise the infrastructure of multi national companies, bring down the very backbone of society, rip apart the very heart of the family unit by putting people out of work and closing down companies with profits in the billions] could probably work out.
GET A LIFE, GET OFF YOUR MORAL HIGH HORSE, AND SPEND YOUR NIGHTS DOING SOMETHING MORE CONSTRUCTIVE!
