Help, Please, Help!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm trying to copy a copy, if you know what i mean, using cd clone...The image reads fine, and burns fine, no errors, but when i pop it in my modified psone, it goes to the memory card/cd player screen! Frustrating!!! any advice??? when cdclone is burning, the two buffer bars max out at 100%, is this normal? Any help would be great!!

Tony, presumably the original copy (so to speak) boots up fine on your PSX.
Have you tried using ClonyXL. This reads the protections on the disc and can then send the required settings to Clone CD prior to copying. A ClonyXL download can be found on PSXCOPYWORLD under PSX utilities. Other than this, what brand of disc are you burning to? This might be the problem. Hope this helps, any other ideas anybody... :) |
Hi m8ty
Paul is right in wot he advises you to do with the clony xxl protection detection program,it is a very useful tool and not just for psx games. But.... and this is where it gets interesting, I presume that you did not make the copy that you are trying to back??(naughty boy lol) Right here we go:- The problem could lie in various areas If you reader that you are using cannot read sub-channel data or audio you will not be able to back up any psx games with cdclone(as sub-channel is a feature of psx protection) Check www.elaborate-bytes.com (clone website) to see if you cdr/rw is 100% compatible. If you are using a dvd to read with(which seems the norm in most computers now),not many support reading sub-channel,only toshiba and liteon do that i know of. So try using you cdr/rw to read and write,if you don't get the clony program use these settings when running clone:- Select Read sub-channel data from tracks Select Read sub-channel audio from tracks Then when writing Select Do not repair sub-channel data Select finalize cd Only read at 8x max and write at 4x max Hope this helps BLB |
