Mod Options
 

Sigh, I have a 30001-R V4, not 5 or 6, dangit. That means I can't use the no soldier mod chips right? (The series number begins with U0.) I heard that the V4s are the hardest systems to mod. So what modding options do I have? Is there any chance somebody might make a No Soldier chip for it eventually? Is there any type of bootdisk I can use?

actually the V3 is harder to mod.
there is no and never ever will be a bootdisc, because it's physically impossible to burn the protection.

All is not lost. What about a Messiah/Clone for your v4. They are superb.

the version 4 board is quite easy to mod pay me a visit at www.psxmodsuk.co.uk or e-mail me and you'll get a 6 month warranty within a few days your console could be booting everything direct boot:D
