Jak and Daxter: please help me!

For the game Jak and Daxter (backup), my PS2 freezes up every time I try to load it with Game Shark. I don't know of any patches available, and my friend got it to work on his PS2. Any one got any suggestions? Does any one have a "good" copy on ftp? You can e-mail me @ roberton_a**********com if you do. Thanks for your help!
