Do you have to have a DVD drive to play PS2 games on your PC?

if it's DVD rom format ^_-

How can I tell what format it is? is there a list of games somewhere?

it will say right on the CD and on the game case

Look in the shops on the game box or packaging and it will say either dvd or cdr.
Or search under ps2 games on the net .
